Flag of Vienne
The flag of Vienne (photo,photo) is blue with a thin white fimbriation at the first third and the departmental logo in the 2/3 near the fly.
In 2015, General Councils were renamed to Departmental Councils. Accordingly the word "le Conseil général" were replaced by the word "Département". In 2015, general councils were renamed departmental councils. A new temporary version of the logo came in use until July 2015, and then the Council adopted a completely new logo.
The new logo was presented on 19 June 2015 (official website). Its buzzwords are attractiveness, proximity, territory, development, willingness, solidarity, humanism...
The grounds of the new graphic identity are:
- a simple name and a mark; "la Vienne", perfectly identifiable and recognizable;
- a square frame referring to the territory and a symbol of willingness and determination;
- an illustrated "V", for "Vienne", which offers flexibility, dynamism and intensity, if not audacity, with the orange color.
The "V' also recalls a heart, referring to the solidarity competence of the department and to the human dimension of the Departmental Councillors.
The colors are prescribed as (official website):
Benday RGB PantoneBlue C 100 Y 20 0 156 194 3135 C Orange M 80 Y 95 231 81 31 166 C
