Newspaper Articles Newspaper Articles 12th June 1885, Page: 3, Column: 2 The Accident At The Margaret Pit Official Inspection The Government Inspector (Mr. T. Bell) yesterday completed his inspection of the Margaret Pit, Philadelphia, where the recent colliery disaster took place. The result of the examination will be given at the inquest on the 24th inst. At present the average rate of water running from the old workings, which were holed into and caused the disaster, is 80 gallons per minute.
