Began his football career with Boldon Royal Rovers FC, before joining Whitburn FC for a season. Joined Jarrow FC in 1902, before Barnsley FC signed him in November 1903. He made 75 league appearances, scoring 24 goals. Manchester United FC signed Wall in March 1906 for a £175 transfer fee. After 287 league appearances and 89 goals, he joined Oldham Athletic FC in March 1919 for a £200 fee. Following twelve goals in 74 league appearances, Wall joined Hamilton Academical FC in June 1921, and onto Rochdale AFC a season later. He made thirty league appearances, scoring once, before joining Ashton National FC in 1923. |
