S�dert�lje is a municipality in central Sweden, in the county of Stockholm. The municipality covers an area of 522.8 km². Of the total population of 77882, 38909 are male, and 38973 are female. The population density of the community is 149 inhabitants per km². S�dert�lje is located some 30 kilometers south of Stockholm and many of the inhabitants are able to work in the capital thanks to a well developed public transportation system.

Truck manufacturer
Scania has its main location in S�dert�lje. It is also one of the main sites for pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca.
Sports
The city has an ice hockey team in the top national series. There is also a successful football club, started my the city's Assyrian community, which now plays in one of the top national leagues.
Miscellaneous
The well known tennis player Bj�rn Borg grew up in S�dert�lje.
