It flowed west through Ossiriand between the Thalos to the north and the Brilthor to the south. Notes 1 The similarity of this river's name to that of Legolas the Elf is immediately apparent, but coincidental. Legolas' name means 'green leaf', and comes from quite different Elvish origins.
