Description:
An accident occurred at an irradiation facility, reportedly involving a power loss and out-of-order safety interlocks, possibly similar to an accident in Shanghai in 1990. Four workers were overexposed: one suffered severe radiation sickness from a dose of 360 rad, one suffered moderate radiation sickness from a 170 rad dose, and one had mild sickness from a 90 rad dose. The fourth worker received a 50 rad dose.
**Consequences:**3 injuries.
