About the Museum

Find out more about the museum, our collections and collecting policy.

We are still collecting objects, medals, photographs, books and archives - in fact anything to do with the regiment! If you feel you have something to offer please email us at kingsown@lancaster.gov.uk. However please don't bring any items to the museum without an appointment, as front desk staff CANNOT accept objects without prior arrangement. The collection is administered by Lancaster City Museums and we do not have a full-time team to manage acquisitions for the King's Own.
