Texas Rangers traded Doyle Alexander, Larvell Blanks and $50000 to Atlanta Braves in exchange for Adrian Devine and Pepe Frias.

Milwaukee Brewers traded Lenn Sakata to Baltimore Orioles in exchange for John Flinn.

Kansas City Royals traded Al Cowens, Todd Cruz and a player to be named later to California Angels in exchange for Rance Mulliniks and Willie Aikens; California Angels received Craig Eaton (April 1, 1980).

Seattle Mariners traded Rafael Vasquez, Rob Pietroburgo and a player to be named later to Cleveland Indians in exchange for Ted Cox; Cleveland Indians received Bud Anderson (March 29, 1980).
