Busta Rhymes was born, Trevor Smith, on May 20, 1972 in New York. Busta began performing with the Leaders Of The New School before hitting it big solo. Although he never sold the millions of LPs his rapping counterparts sold, Busta remains one of the most original hip hop artists with his rapid-fire rapping style and innovative videos.
Busta released his debut LP The Coming.
Busta hit the Top 40 with "Woo-Hah! Got You All In Check."
Busta topped the Billboard Hot Rap Singles chart for 7 weeks and the Hot Dance Music Maxi-Singles Sales chart for 5 weeks with "Woo-Hah! Got You All In Check."
Busta topped the Billboard R&B Albums chart for a week with The Coming.
