Keri Hilson hails from Atlanta, Georgia and was born in 1982. As a teen, Keri performed in school plays and talent shows, started writing songs by the age of 12, and joined a girl group called 'D'Signe'. Her talents eventually led to arranging her won songs and cutting vocals by the age of 18, and getting noticed by producer Polow da Don - which led to a meeting and eventual collaborations with Timbaland. Before breaking out on her own as solo artist, Keri had become known as the songwriter of many hits by top artists, and with being featured on several tracks by hip-hop artists.
Keri could be heard helping out Xzibit on his single "Hey Now (Mean Muggin)." The single hit the Top 10 in the UK.
Keri could be heard helping out Lloyd Banks with his single "Help."
Keri could be heard on the Rich Boy LP Rich Boy on the track "Good Things."
Keri hit the Top 40 helping out Timbaland with "The Way I Are." The single topped the charts in Australia, Ireland, Israel, Norway, and Turkey.
