Trent Reznor was born May 17, 1965 and grew up in Pennsylvania. Although Nine Inch Nails is considered a group, Reznor is viewed as the creative energy of NIN no matter who's accompanying him. His ability to play several instruments began in his youth with training as a classical pianist.

The musician claims he had sent Reznor a copy of his music in 1993 so that Reznor could listen to the tunes. The songs in question include 4 from The Downward Spiral(Nine Inch Nails' biggest LP) and a track from the Natural Born Killers soundtrack.
