Field Marshal Richard Michael Power Carver, Baron Carver was born on 24 April 1915.1 He was the son of Harold Power Carver and Winifred Anne Gabrielle Wellesley.3 He married Edith Lowry-Corry, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Henry Charles Lowry-Corry and Betty Alice Adeline Proby, on 22 November 1947.4 He died on 9 December 2001 at age 86.4
