John Butler, 1st and last Earl of Gowran was born after 1639.1 He was the son of James Butler, 1st Duke of Ormonde and Elizabeth Preston, Baroness Dingwall.1 He married Lady Anne Chichester, daughter of Arthur Chichester, 1st Earl of Donegall and Letitia Hicks, in January 1674.2 He died in 1677, without issue.1,3
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dublin University [Ireland] between 1662 and 1666.3 He gained the rank of Captain in the Horse Guards.3 He was created 1st Baron of Aghrim, co. Galway [Ireland] on 13 April 1676.3 He succeeded as the 1st Viscount Clonmore, co. Tipperary [Ireland] on 13 April 1676.3 He was created 1st Earl of Gowran [Ireland] on 13 April 1676.1,3 On his death, his titles became extinct.3

Dorothy Ferrers1

Dorothy Ferrers was the daughter of John Ferrers and Anne Carleton.1 She married Richard Butler, 1st and last Earl of Arran, son of James Butler, 1st Duke of Ormonde and Elizabeth Preston, Baroness Dingwall, between 4 June 1673 and 7 June 1673.1,2 She died on 30 November 1716.1 Her will (dated 23 March 1716) was proven (by probate) on 7 December 1716, in which she directs that she be buried at Tamworth, near her father.1
From before 7 June 1673, her married name became Butler.1 After her marriage, Dorothy Ferrers was styled as Countess of Arran before 7 June 1673.

Sir Jermyn Davers, 4th Bt. was born circa 1686.2 He was the son of Sir Robert Davers, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Mary Jermyn. He married Margaretta Green, daughter of Reverend Edward Green, on 21 October 1729.2 He died on 20 February 1743.2
He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bury St. Edmunds between 1722 and 1727.2 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Davers, of Rougham, co. Suffolk [E., 1682] on 20 May 1723. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Suffolk between 1727 and 1743.2
