Henry Grey, 10th Earl of Kent1

Henry Grey, 10th Earl of Kent was born on 24 November 1594.1 He was the son of Anthony Grey, 9th Earl of Kent and Magdalen Purefoy.2 He married, firstly, Mary Courteen, daughter of Sir William Courten and unknown daughter Tryon, on 14 October 1641.1 He married, secondly, Amabel Benn, daughter of Sir Anthony Benn, on 1 August 1644.2 He died on 28 May 1651 at age 56.1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Leicestershire between 1640 and 1643.1 He held the office of Parliamentary Commissioner of the Great Seal in 1643.2 He succeeded as the 10th Earl of Kent [E., 1465] on 9 November 1643.2 He held the office of Commissioner of Martial Law in 1644.2 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Rutland in 1644.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Essex from 1644 to 1645.1 He held the office of Speaker of the House of Lords in 1645.2 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire in 1646.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Essex in 1647.2 He held the office of Speaker of the House of Lords between 1647 and 1649.2 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.3

Amabel Benn1

Amabel Benn was baptised on 3 September 1607. She was the daughter of Sir Anthony Benn.1 She married, firstly, Anthony Fane, son of Francis Fane, 1st Earl of Westmorland and Mary Mildmay, before 1643.1 She married, thirdly, Henry Grey, 10th Earl of Kent, son of Anthony Grey, 9th Earl of Kent and Magdalen Purefoy, on 1 August 1644.1 She died on 17 August 1698 at age 90.
Her married name became Douce.1 From before 1643, her married name became Fane.1 From 1 August 1644, her married name became Grey.1

Vivienne Irene Felton was born on 19 February 1920.3 She was the daughter of Thomas Albert Felton.1 She married, firstly, George William Connor before 1965.1 She married, secondly, Edward FitzGerald, 7th Duke of Leinster, son of Gerald FitzGerald, 5th Duke of Leinster and Lady Hermione Wilhelmina Duncombe, on 12 May 1965.1 She died in 1992 at Brighton, Sussex, EnglandG.3
From before 1965, her married name became Connor.1 From 12 May 1965, her married name became FitzGerald. After her marriage, Vivienne Irene Felton was styled as Duchess of Leinster on 12 May 1965.
