Reverend Meade Swift1

Reverend Meade Swift was born on 3 March 1753.2 He was the son of Thomas Swift and Frances Dennis.1 He married Delia Sophia Saunders, daughter of Reverend Morley Pendred Saunders and Lady Martha Stratford, in June 1780.2 He died on 6 November 1837 at age 84.2 He was buried at Lynn Churchyard, Lynn, County Westmeath, IrelandG.2
He was the Vicar Choral between 1796 and 1809 at Cork, County Cork, IrelandG.2 His name was legally changed to Meade Dennis in accordance with his uncle Lord Tracton's bequest of property in County Kerry.2 He was the Rector between 1809 and 1837 at Lynn, County Westmeath, IrelandG.2 He lived at Lynnbury, County Westmeath, IrelandG.2 He lived at Union Hill, County Westmeath, IrelandG.2

John Dennis was the son of Thomas Swift and Frances Dennis.2 He married Emily Hamilton, daughter of Robert Hamilton and May Harrison.1 He died in 1830.1
He was a practising Barrister-at-law.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kinsale.1 His name was legally changed to John Dennis in accordance with his uncle Lord Tracton's bequest of property in counties Cork and Dublin.2 He was given the name of John Swift at birth.1
