Henry Allsopp, 1st Baron Hindlip of Hindlip was born on 19 February 1811.1 He was the son of Samuel Allsopp and Frances Fowler.2 He married Elizabeth Tongue, daughter of William Tongue and Elizabeth Pack, on 21 August 1839.1 He died on 3 April 1887 at age 76.1

Elizabeth Tongue was born in 1821.2 She was the daughter of William Tongue and Elizabeth Pack.3,2 She married Henry Allsopp, 1st Baron Hindlip of Hindlip, son of Samuel Allsopp and Frances Fowler, on 21 August 1839.1 She died on 19 August 1906.1
From 21 August 1839, her married name became Allsopp. After her marriage, Elizabeth Tongue was styled as Baroness Hindlip of Hindlip on 16 February 1886.
