Sir John Abdy, 3rd Bt.1

Sir John Abdy, 3rd Bt. was baptised on 8 April 1688.1 He was the son of Sir John Abdy, 2nd Bt. and Jane Nicholas.1 He married Theodosia Bramstone, daughter of George Bramstone and Rebecca Wood, on 5 July 1711 at St. Christopher le Stocks, London, EnglandG.1 He died on 27 August 1748 at age 60.1 He was buried at Stapleford Abbots, Essex, EnglandG.1
He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Abdy, of Albyns [in Stapleford Abbots], Essex [E., 1660] in 1691.1 He matriculated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 4 August 1705.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Essex between 1727 and 1748.1 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.)1
He was described as " a Great Antiquarian and and a true Patriot."1

Theodosia Bramstone1

Theodosia Bramstone was born on 1 March 1696 at London, EnglandG.1 She was the daughter of George Bramstone and Rebecca Wood.1 She was baptised on 3 March 1696 at St. Benet's, Paul's Wharf, London, EnglandG.1 She married Sir John Abdy, 3rd Bt., son of Sir John Abdy, 2nd Bt. and Jane Nicholas, on 5 July 1711 at St. Christopher le Stocks, London, EnglandG.1 She died on 8 August 1732 at age 36.1
From 5 July 1711, her married name became Abdy.1
