Sir John Abdy, 4th Bt.1

Sir John Abdy, 4th Bt. was born circa 1714.1 He was the son of Sir John Abdy, 3rd Bt. and Theodosia Bramstone.1 He died on 1 April 1759, unmarried.1 He was buried at Stapleford Abbots, Essex, EnglandG.1 His will (dated 31 December 1757 to 16 April 1758) was proven (by probate) on 19 April 1759.1
He matriculated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 11 July 1732.1 He was admitted to Middle Temple.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Essex between 1748 and 1759.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Abdy, of Albyns [in Stapleford Abbots], Essex [E., 1660] on 27 August 1748.1
On his death, his Baronetcy became extinct.1

Theodosia Abdy1

Theodosia Abdy was born between 1712 and 1732. She was the daughter of Sir John Abdy, 3rd Bt. and Theodosia Bramstone.1 She and Reverend Stotherd Abdy obtained a marriage license on 14 March 1752.1,2 She died in 1758, without issue.1

Reverend Stotherd Abdy1

Reverend Stotherd Abdy was born circa 1728.2 He was the son of Sir William Abdy, 4th Bt. and Mary Stotherd.2 He and Theodosia Abdy obtained a marriage license on 14 March 1752.1,2 He and Harriot Altham obtained a marriage license on 31 July 1759.2 He died on 5 April 1773, without issue.2
He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He was the Rector at Thaydon Gernon, Essex, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Prebendary of St. Paul's in 1771.2 He held the office of Archdeacon of Essex between 1771 and 1773.2
