Sir John Bridger Shiffner, 6th Bt.1

Sir John Bridger Shiffner, 6th Bt. was born on 5 August 1899.2 He was the son of Sir John Shiffner, 5th Bt. and Elsie Burrows.2 He married Sybil Helen Gibbons, daughter of Sills Clifford Gibbons, on 16 July 1918.1 He died on 24 September 1918 at age 19, killed in action.2
He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Sussex Regiment.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Shiffner, of Coombe, Sussex [U.K., 1818] on 5 April 1914.2 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Shiffner, of Coombe, Sussex [U.K., 1818] on 5 April 1914.2

He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)2 He was appointed Queen's Counsel (Q.C.)2 He was created Baron Paget of Northampton, of Lubenham in the County of Leicestershire [U.K. Life Peer] on 2 January 1975.1

Admiral Sir Watkin Owen Pell was born on 24 June 1787.3 He married Sarah Dorothea Owen on 21 April 1847.3 He died on 29 December 1869 at age 82.3
He was commissioned on 3 April 1799 with the rank of Midshipman, in the service of the Royal Navy.3 He fought in the Napoleonic Wars between 1808 and 1813, where he led several actions resulting in the capture of enemy ships and participated in the defence of Cadiz and Tarifa as captain of the Thunder bomb.3 He was Commodore of the Jamaica Station, West Indies in 1833.3
