Francis William FitzHardinge Berkeley, 2nd Baron FitzHardinge of Bristol was born on 16 November 1826.2 He was the son of Admiral Maurice Frederick FitzHardinge Berkeley, 1st Baron FitzHardinge of Bristol and Lady Charlotte Lennox.1 He married Georgina Holme-Sumner, daughter of William Holme-Sumner and Mary Barnard Hankey, on 24 November 1857 at East Clandon, Guildford, Surrey, EnglandG.2 He died on 28 June 1896 at age 69 at London, EnglandG, without issue.2
He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Captain in 1853 in the Royal Horse Guards.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Cheltenham between 1856 and 1865.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron FitzHardinge of Bristol, of the city and county of the city of Bristol [U.K., 1861] on 17 October 1867.2 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.) on 9 December 1886.2

Georgina Holme-Sumner was baptised on 15 March 1831 at East Clandon, EnglandG.2 She was the daughter of William Holme-Sumner and Mary Barnard Hankey.1,2 She married Francis William FitzHardinge Berkeley, 2nd Baron FitzHardinge of Bristol, son of Admiral Maurice Frederick FitzHardinge Berkeley, 1st Baron FitzHardinge of Bristol and Lady Charlotte Lennox, on 24 November 1857 at East Clandon, Guildford, Surrey, EnglandG.1 She died on 30 July 1897 at age 66 at Thornbury Castle, Thornbury, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1
Her married name became Berkeley. After her marriage, Georgina Holme-Sumner was styled as Baroness FitzHardinge of Bristol on 17 October 1867.

Charles Paget FitzHardinge Berkeley, 3rd Baron FitzHardinge of Bristol was born on 19 April 1830.2 He was the son of Admiral Maurice Frederick FitzHardinge Berkeley, 1st Baron FitzHardinge of Bristol and Lady Charlotte Lennox.1 He married Louisa Elizabeth Lindow, daughter of Henry Lindow Lindow, on 6 December 1856 at London, EnglandG.2 He died on 5 December 1916 at age 86 at Berkeley Castle, Berkeley, Gloucestershire, EnglandG, without issue.2
He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, EnglandG.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Gloucester between 1862 and 1865.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron FitzHardinge of Bristol, of the city and county of the city of Bristol [U.K., 1861] on 29 June 1896.2
On his death, the Barony of FitzHardinge of Bristol became extinct.2

Major Edric Frederick Gifford, 3rd Baron Gifford of St. Leonard's, V.C. was born on 5 July 1849 at Ampney Park, Wiltshire, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Robert Francis Gifford, 2nd Baron Gifford of St. Leonard's and Hon. Swinburne Frederica Charlotte FitzHardinge Berkeley.3 He married Sophie Catherine Street, daughter of General John Alfred Street, on 22 April 1880 at London, EnglandG.3 He died on 5 June 1911 at age 61 at Old Park, Chichester, Sussex, EnglandG.2
He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Gifford of St. Leonard's, co. Devon [U.K., 1824] on 13 May 1872.3 He gained the rank of Major in the 57th Regiment.3 He fought in the Ashanti Expedition between 1873 and 1874.2 He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.) on 31 March 1874, for his actions on 1873-4.2 He fought in the Zulu War in 1879.3
