This is 10_shakespeare, a fic challenge community that instead of your regular prompts, uses lines from William Shakespeare's plays instead. You pick a fandom/original verse. Then, you pick a Shakespearian play where all of your prompts will come from. Then write 10 fics. Easy, no? BUT FIRST--

Before you do ANYTHING, rules first. :Don claiming: You claim one fandom along with one Shakespearian play from which you select ten quotes as your prompts. There is no restriction on people doing the same plays/fandoms, as it's going to be pretty hard to share every single line as well. Shakespeare plays/original works are welcomed as well. Please note that you may only work on one claim at a time, but may request your later claims and I'll switch the information when you have finished your current claim. :D CLAIM HERE.on prompts: While THIS POST will give you a head start on the prompts that you may use, please don't feel as if you need to use them; the entire play is fair game. Therefore: there are no sets. You pick your own inspiration!Never read that particular play / Shakespeare in your life? Completely fine. The challenge is not how well you know the play and can follow the context of the words, but how well you interpret the meaning. It is also worthy to note that your writing does not in any way, shape, or form have to resemble Shakespeare's style of writing - just have it reflect the given prompt somehow like in a normal writing challenge community. In other words, have fun and go for it! :)on sonnets/poems: Yes, we have those too! Go here for more information.on seniority: To make this a little fun, here's what's going to happen if you manage to finish your first set. On the second set, you are allowed to use lines from any three plays. The third time you're allowed to use lines from ANY play! Fandoms can change from set to set, but not piece to piece. Try it out~ ♥on deadlines: This is a very very laid back fic comm. Which is why the only requirement is that you at least post something every four months. However, don't fret if you're off a few days or weeks, bottom line is: WRITE. ♥on posting: Lj cut / fake cut on your works. THIS IS IMPERATIVE. Don't know how? Refer to the FAQs. No advertising is allowed, but you may affiliate here.on dropping / finishing: Can't finish? Then drop here. Finished? Then tell us here!on etiquette: I would assume that most of this would be straight-forward, but just in case... & No flaming & Keep it on SHAKESPEARE and WRITING & Have fun! (shut up I know it's corny)Want to start? Join the community!

The mimimum for each piece is 100 words. Please remember to give warnings of your fics if you deem there is some content within them that might be offensive. Your subject line should look like: [Title of Piece / Fandom / Name of Play / Rating]What you should put before every work:Remember to LJ/fake cut afterwards! ♥~
