A no-muss, no-fuss prompt community open to multiple fandoms

We are now open for business!!!!! Join the community (it will tell you that you'll need to be approved but don't worry about that - everyone is approved!) and start having fun!

Who We Are:

5_prompts is a no-muss, no-fuss prompt community open to any writing - fandom or original! We exist so that people who love the fun and inspiration that prompt tables bring can use them without frustration or angst. Check out the FAQs if you have any questions about what you can and can't write.

Write using a Prompt Table
Each Sunday

Every so often one prompt table will be added. Each prompt table has five prompts. You are allowed to use the prompts anyway you wish: literally or figuratively.

If you are interested in using any of the prompt tables, then feel free to post the table to your journal and start writing. You will not need to stake your claim to the prompt table for your fandom or your pairing. We will not be limiting any table to one particular fandom or one particular pairing at any given time. Our motto is THE MORE, THE MERRIER!

As you're working through the prompt table, post your writings to this community (and any others where you might want to post the story) with the appropriate tags, headers, and titles for ease of search. Upon completing any table, your lovely mods will post a completion post with links to all five of your pieces and present you with a nifty banner!

Reply to this post when you are done with your prompt table.

Monthly Word Counts:
At the end of each month, your posted words will be tallied and you will get a banner congratulating you on the number of words you wrote for the community that month. This will happen for every member that posts, 100 words all the way up to 1,000,000,000 words!

(at the moment, we aren't doing this but it may come back in the future)

But the most important things you can ever know if you're going to join:
Be sure to check out the Community and Posting Rules before joining. In short, you will be expected to act like an adult while hanging out in this community AND your posts will be expected to look a certain way.
