For the purpose of a comprehensive analysis of the subject using qualitative data, the research method was set to be mixed method focusing on qualitative sequential design. The first stage of the research strategy was an exploratory single case study and for the second phase, the researchers used focus groups design. Saipa Corporation, one of the most famous firms in Iranian automotive industry, was selected as the case. The varied qualitative date were gathered through interview, document review and observation methods and were analyzed afterwards. Ultimately, the findings of the study highlighted the items and dimensions of information technology business value. This model is composed of the relationship between different dimensions of the theoretical models regarding...

developing knowledge in a company; this system effects the correlation between
intellectual capital and business performance. Thus in this research we studied effect
of knowledge management on business performance as a moderate variable.
Therefore we attempt to explain relationship between intellectual capital and business
performance regarding knowledge management. It was found that the knowledge
management system moderates the relationship between intellectual capital and
business performance.

Uncertainty, noisy input data and stochastic behavior which are common characteristics of such environment makes real time decision making more complicated. In this paper an approach to solve the bottleneck of dynamicity and variety of conditions in such situations based on reinforcement learning is presented. This method is applied to RoboCup Rescue Simulation Fire brigade agent's decision making process and it learned a good strategy to save civilians and city from fire. The utilized method increases the speed of learning and it has very low memory usage. The effectiveness of the proposed method is shown through simulation results.

Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering, 2010

However, it is also risky and may lead to wellbore collapse due to lack of positive support provided by the hydrostratic wellbore fluid column. Hence, the application of underbalanced drilling (UBD) should be evaluated thoroughly through the use of in-situ stresses and rock mechanical properties to estimate under what hydraulic drilling conditions the wellbore is stable. This paper presents numerical simulations for wellbore stability analysis in two depleted Iranian fields, named herein as field A and B. The simulations were executed both in Finite-Explicit and Finite-Element codes to cross check the results. Depleted Iranian fractured carbonate fields are suffering from severe wellbore stability problems and lost circulation during overbalanced drilling conditions. The application of UBD in these fields with a pressure less than formation pore pressure brought on new wellbore stability problems like risk of shear failure and collapse of borehole wall. Using good geomechanical model description matching field characteristics in conjunction with rock failure criteria in some cases may lead to a good prediction for avoiding wellbore stability problems and choosing the optimum mud weight window. By analyzing cores, log and triaxial rock mechanical data, an elastoplastic model combined with a finite explicit code was used in the wellbore stability analysis to estimatimate an optimum Equivalent Circulating Density (ECD) for these fields. Compared to some actual field data it was observed that using an elastoplastic constitutive model would be sufficient to analyze mechanical wellbore stability in these fields.

The application of neural networks for predicting casing collapses using complex multi-dimensional field data has been undertaken. This paper shows how a neural network (ANN) system can be trained based on the parameters affecting casing collapse to estimate the potential of collapse of wells to be drilled as well as the current wells producing in the field. The potential use of this type of analysis is large in that it can be linked as a critical risking parameter in future field development analysis. Being able to quantify the potential for collapse of a well in the future can give management the foundation for a better financial decision making on what wells and where to drill them with the potential for the larger net return on the investment. The estimated collapse and corresponding depth could also benefit in the type of casing design and completion method to be selected as well as workover designs. Interpretation of the neural network results, together with engineering judgment, allowed us to conclude that using this method is technically feasible for predicting casing collapses in this field.

Pin's variety theorem for positive varieties of string languages and varieties of finite ordered ... more Pin's variety theorem for positive varieties of string languages and varieties of finite ordered semigroups is proved for trees, i.e., a bijective correspondence between positive varieties of tree languages and varieties of finite ordered algebras is established. This, in turn, is extended to generalized varieties of finite ordered algebras, which corresponds to Steinby's generalized variety theorem. Also, families of tree languages and classes of ordered algebras that are definable by ordered (syntactic or translation) monoids are characterized.

Wilke, An algebraic characterization of frontier testable tree languages, Theoret. Comput. Sci. 154 (1996) 85-106] tree algebra formalism for representing binary labelled trees and compare it with approaches that represent trees as terms in the traditional way. A convergent term rewriting system yields normal form representations of binary trees and contexts, as well as a new completeness proof and a computational decision method for the axiomatization of tree algebras. Varieties of binary tree languages are compared with varieties of tree languages studied earlier in the literature. We also prove a variety theorem thus solving a problem noted by several authors. Syntactic tree algebras are studied and compared with ordinary syntactic algebras. The expressive power of the language of tree algebras is demonstrated by giving equational definitions for some well-known varieties of binary tree languages.
