[Current Location |Body in England, brain in Illinois] [mood | hungry]The first probably speaks for itself: we're always looking for Daniel-centric stories for the archive, so if you've written something that might work for us, please consider submitting it. Despite being die-hard slashers, both xochiquetzl and myself are delighted to see so many het stories on the archive, so those are particularly welcome, as is any non-Jack/Daniel slash. Oh, and we like gen too! :)Two minor points, though - we don't accept crossovers, not even crossovers with Stargate: Atlantis and stories which have other characters thinking about Daniel, while he fails to make a personal appearance at all are a hard sell for us. As for the second, it seems that xochiquetzl has used her geekly wisdom to overcome the problem people were having when archiving stories that they couldn't see the option for 'gen' in the relevant drop-down menu. Some research with those people where this was a problem demonstrated that this was actually due to Internet Explorer and has now been fixed. Please let us know if you have a technical problem archiving in the future! |

Thanks for the reminder. I have 4 fics that I need to upload. ;) Excellent - please let us know if there are any problems! :)I wonder, does Binary Roles fit the bill as a Daniel fic? It's Jack/Daniel-but-not-Daniel-yet-about-Daniel. Sort of.No crossovers. What about a story that starts out in the SG-1 universe, is centered completely on Jack/Daniel, then moves in the end to Atlantis (still focused on Jack/Daniel)?Just curious about the boundaries.IcarusThat fic should be fine, though I need to see what xochiquetzl says as well, since we do everything by consensus. And speaking of consensus, we've decided not to bend any boundaries about crossovers. That means for us and our rule there's no difference between a story where Jack & Daniel move to Atlantis and one where they're subsequently shipped off to Caprica or Hogwarts. It's too complicated to start making exceptions, so it's fairer to say no to everything. Now if someone were to write AU fic set in another universe, that would make our lives even more difficult but nobody's done it yet... ;)(Deleted comment) And I use Opera 8.54 as my browser of choice, so there's no way I'd know there were problems either, unless someone tells us... ;) |
