Direct oxidation of benzene to phenol in liquid phase in the medium of methanol, acetone, acetic ... more Direct oxidation of benzene to phenol in liquid phase in the medium of methanol, acetone, acetic acid and acetonitrile as a solvent over chromium catalyst supported on highly ordered nanoporous silica (Cr-LUS-1) by H O were examined. The best results obtained from methanol solvent with 20% yield and selectivity of 90%.

A carrier system based on nanoporous silica (SBA-15) with magnetic nanoparticles of CoFe2O4 was s... more A carrier system based on nanoporous silica (SBA-15) with magnetic nanoparticles of CoFe2O4 was synthesized via the impregnation of cobalt salt, iron salt and citric acid with as-synthesized SBA-15. The obtained samples were characterized by small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), N2 adsorption/desorption, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and ultraviolet (UV) spectroscopy.The effect of magnetization on the drug release behavior of SBA-15 has been studied. Ibuprofen was chosen as a model drug. Drug release studies in simulated body fluid (SBF) at pH 7.4 showed that after 48 hours, the percentage of drug release through SBA-15 and magnetic SBA-15 could reach up to 80% and 20%, respectively. The obtained results reveal that the magnetization leads towards significant decrease of the drug release rate

A novel organic-inorganic hybrid optical sensor (SBA-NCO) was designed and synthesized through im... more A novel organic-inorganic hybrid optical sensor (SBA-NCO) was designed and synthesized through immobilization of isocyanatopropyl-triethoxysilane and 1-amino-naphthalene onto the surface of SBA-15 by post-grafting method. The characterization of materials using XRD, TEM, N2 adsorption-desorption, and FT-IR techniques confirmed the successful attachment of organic moieties and preserving original structure of SBA-15 after modification step. Fluorescence experiments demonstrated that SBA-NCO was a highly selective optical sensor for the detection of Fe(3+) directly in water over a wide range of metal cations including Na(+), Mg(2+), Al(3+), K(+), Ca(2+), Cr(3+), Mn(2+), Fe(2+), Co(2+), Ni(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+), Cd(2+), Hg(2+), and Pb(2+) in a wide pH values.

Single crystal x-ray analysis conclusively confirmed the structure of the 2-amino-3-cyano-7,7-dimethyl-4-(4-methylphenyl)-5-oxo- 4H-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-benzopyran.

Enzymatic esterification of meso-2,6-dimethyl-1,7-heptanediol with isopropenyl acetate in the presence of Pseudomonas cepacia lipase in organic medium provided the chiral nonracemic monoester in high enantiomeric excess (ee = 95%). This chiral building block was used in the formal syntheses of vitamin E side chain and the insect pheromone tribolure.

This phase transformation was carried out in constant surface charge and pore size distribution (2 nm). Influence of BTMA + ions between head and tail of surfactant and phase transformation were observed by using the XRD and elemental analysis.
