Personal experiences from the dark side of insomnia
I first began this public blog for several reasons. I've always been a nocturnal; But the personal experience of insomnia is a subjective experience. It's is seldom written about in detail. What experiences affect one who sits up in the evenings night after night & dreads watching the sunrise, when sunrises are so beautiful. What passes through one's thoughts, moods & emotions as the phenomenon of insomnia penetrates our lives? How do our life challenges and milestones affect those changes; And finally, how do these new medications on the market interact with us on a holistic level?
Insomnia, broken sleep cycles, sleep rhythms, sleep deprivation ... The new market in sleep aids shows that there is more need for understanding how insomnia affects us.
These new drugs are a varied group, which includes Ambien (generic: Zolpidem), Lunesta, Rozarem, and many others.
Please feel free to post your thoughts, or just feel welcome to read along on my journey / journal towards struggling to understand my process.
