This paper gives an overview of the characteristics of the typical traffic streams that a power grid telecoms network must carry, particularly in terms of latency, bandwidth and jitter requirements. It looks at various network architectures that are best suited to carry them, analyses potential issues that may arise and offers solutions on how to overcome them. Finally, the future development of the grid is examined, in the context how its architecture will change with
the proliferation of micro-generation sites, such as households with solar panels, small wind turbines, and electric car batteries. Since this change will hugely affect the network technology, the paper examines the potential results on grid telecoms network ownership and operation.

The paper also examines the Congressional assessments of the way the IC responded to these events and the reforms that were subsequently put in place to overcome the deficiencies discovered by the assessments.

These two events are closely linked as conflict has spread from real battlefields to virtual space. For this reason government officials and policy makers have focused on the Internet as a tool for terrorists and criminals and are attempting to control and monitor its use. This essay argues that this focus is inappropriate and misdirected and, while not achieving openly declared objectives of

So many seem to be offended by words. We have redefined our language to eliminate terms that have (or may have) second meanings. The boundary between banter among friends and offensive speech seems so easily crossed with detrimental consequences to friendships and relationships.
