| | LAUREN AND JAMES ARE ENGAGED!!!WHEEEEEE!!!!...AND I found a place where I can buy Macbeths just down the road from me.Sneakers and a proposal.This is like, the best day ever.Tags:engaged, shoesMood:ecstatic So, we are engaged.And have been for about, oh, three weeks-ish now.It is tops!Danny proposed the night before his birthday, the 21st of March.Apparently he had lots of plans- fancydinner, fancymovies, fancyskateboarding...but none of them worked.The fancydinner place was holding a wedding.I slept through fancymovies, to attend regular ones instead, but there were too many people at Victoria Point for Danny to propose because he knew I'd freak out if there were too many people.Skateboarding got the kibosh pretty quickly when we were faced with drunk people, piling out of a neighbourhood party that was being broken up by the police.So we ended up in his backyard at around 10pm. We were sitting on his swingset when he started talking about how much he had wanted to wait to do 'this' until the ring he was having made was ready, but it wasn't in his hand and he was going to do it anyway. And then he got down on one knee in front of me and said lovely things that I was too stunned to remember and asked me to marry him.I was genuinely surprised...so I kind of accidentally headbutted him, oops. And my lower lip swelled up like crazy the next day! It was a very unglamorous moment, followed an over-excited tackle- I knocked the poor guy straight to the ground. he swears that I said yes.So we smiled a lot with goofy grins [See below] and woke up parents and drank champagne and generally felt overwhelmed and excitable.It was really fun being able to tell everyone at church the big news, and even more fun receiving the ring the next week... So now...we are planning our wedding!Love to all.
