Resumo O artigo se propõe a discutir a pornografia nos videogames em um cenário de hiper-realidad... more Resumo O artigo se propõe a discutir a pornografia nos videogames em um cenário de hiper-realidade. Assim, são apresentados casos de imagens produ-zidas através dos games que alcançaram um patamar mais que real de acordo com o conceito desenvolvido por Jean Baudrillard. Nesse contexto, debater como as representações pornográficas de personagens de videogame migra-ram para o nosso cotidiano com os quadrinhos pornográficos japoneses atra-vés do ahegao. E por fim, apresentar e problematizar o processo de criação co-munitária da personagem Bowsette: fanarts, histórias em quadrinhos, cosplay, modificações e produções pornográficas.

Resumo Este artigo aborda conceitos relacionados à dança contemporânea e à fusão de linguagem com... more Resumo Este artigo aborda conceitos relacionados à dança contemporânea e à fusão de linguagem com o design generativo. Faz um breve relato sobre a dança contemporânea, enfocando o modo como os profissionais experimen-tara tecnologias e outras linguagens integradas a seus projetos coreográficos. Aborda o uso do design generativo e de algoritmos, como parte do processo de criação no espetáculo Glow, no qual o designer manipula e explora o uso de formas gráficas, obtendo resultados inesperados e complexos por meio de uma estrutura flexível que se adapta à projeção de vídeo e à captura de movimentos. A abordagem metodológica é qualitativa com viés cultural e histórico, complementada pela observação e estudo do processo criativo e técnico, em materiais gráficos, textos, vídeos exclusivos e imagens. Por fim, é realizada uma descrição do espetáculo, atentando-se ao uso dos elementos gráficos como extensões do movimento coreográfico.

in contemporary fashion designs and installations (Savage Beauty 2011).
Hence we have to emphasize upon the growing insularity and autonomy of
technologically rebellious art – in the reduced human intention in patterns
on dresses exhibited by the fashion maverick Alexander McQueen. We shall
be able to appreciate the fact that the form of representation is most likely
to be similar to a mechanics of accidence and autonomy, rather than control, and reflective of the independence of the machine itself, now called the machine being.

Pretende-se, assim, contribuir para um maior mapeamento de métodos que possam ser úteis aos Estudos de Tendências, bem como promover uma con-tínua revisão dos processos analíticos associados à interpretação de grandes padrões de comportamento e mudanças nas mentalidades.

Thus, the objective of this study was to understand the evolution of the concept between materials and design to innovation in the 21st Century. It was carried out a bibliographical research, content analysis and narrative review of the literature about the theme. The results were poin-ted to simultaneous conception processes between advanced materials, technologies and products, highlighting the intangible values of materials as attributes to the product. It was concluded that advanced studies evaluate the meanings of materials to innovation through the materials design

The study presents an experiment with three different natural raw materials: stone, wood and natu... more The study presents an experiment with three different natural raw materials: stone, wood and natural fiber for products development, serving commercial environ-ments with a regional focus: hotels and restaurants. It aimed to train the students of the UFAM Design Course to design decorative objects through the technology and professio-nal experience of four teaching and research institutions in Brazil and Europe. It used the qualitative method, with a descriptive, explanatory, exploratory and experimental character, applying the bibliographical survey, in situ observation and case analysis. As results, 13 (thirteen) prototypes were generated based on the studies performed.

Os artigos apresentados nessa edição foram selecionados por meio de um rigoroso processo de análise, efetuado pelo Comitê Avaliador do evento, e indicados para esta publicação. Em sua segunda edição, II Congresso Internacional e VIII Workshop: Design & Materiais se consolida como uma referência na área, considerada es-tratégica para a competitividade nacional. O evento aconteceu em junho de 2017 e foi uma realização do programa de pós-graduação stricto sensu (PPGDe-sign/Univille) e do curso de graduação em Design da UNIVILLE - Universidade da Região de Joinville - Santa Catarina. In this sense, the presentation of this article aims to present practical cases where the authors’ actual participation in the use of industrial waste as raw material in the production of new products, in line with Eco-design, took place. It also explains the importance of the preliminary tests for the characterization of the residues, the details of the productive processes necessary for its incorporation and the validation of the final products in relationto their final application.

Production systems undergo transformations due to intensification in the use of new technologies,... more Production systems undergo transformations due to intensification in the use of new technologies, stimulating reflections on potential impacts in mature industries, such as textiles. This is traditionally identified as of low technological intensity, espe-cially the subsector specializing in carpets. Thus, the purpose of the study was to identify the technological situation of this industry and point out perspectives. A bibliographical and documentary research was carried out, presenting results that suggest: perception of the tendency of the transformation of the textile nature through hybrid materials, which incorporate electronics and nanotechnology; Recognition of opportunities in a new competitive environment from intersectoral partnerships; Identification of the con-tributions of the Strategic Design for mature industries.

The Universal Design and Assistive Technology, aimed at safe interaction between the individual and his meal, by means of adapted cutlery. Cutlery materials affect the perception of food by chemical, physical and mechanical interactions. This article aimed to select materials for adapted cutlery, prioritizing the autonomy of people with disabilities. The methodological procedures are the application of GODP criteria and Ashby Method. Ultimately, were selected, the low-alloy steel for the cutlery and PA 12 for the handle.

This study aims to identify the laser cutting technical parameters in cardboard tubes, and charac... more This study aims to identify the laser cutting technical parameters in cardboard tubes, and characterize the material by scanning thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA ) and electron microscopy (MEV. As a result, the combustion temperature the ATG iden-tified, indicates that even at 210°C there is a range of safety of the tubes. The scanning electron microscopy showed the morphological characteristics of the inner surface, out-side of the core and the cardboard tube edge. It was concluded the feasibility of applying the laser cutting technology in the material, determining the proper power and speed to more efficiently cut into each thickness. After research, it is shown that the cardboard tube is a material that could be used on product design.

This article presents results obtained by a research project that aimed to inves-tigate and dev... more This article presents results obtained by a research project that aimed to inves-tigate and develop material from solid waste of synthetic rubber of discarded slippers and to suggest applications in product design. With the use of this residue powdered, tests were carried out with artificial and vegetable binders that formed alternative ma-terials that were subsequently subjected to chemical and physical tests. As results, three experimental materials were obtained using low environmental impact binders. This article will present one of the materials obtained as well as suggestion of application in the surface design.

The definition of materials and processes in product development can direct the design... more The definition of materials and processes in product development can direct the design process to be applied and, in some cases, promote innovation. Considering the Brazilian nautical industry, its context and needs, this article presents the result of a master’s project that aimed to create a product to gain operational efficiency, increase productivity and reduce waste. As a result, a modular platform system has been develo-ped that includes three models of boats and their different accessories. Considering eco-design requirements, the result also presented the potential for gains and cost reduction in the production chain, considering company, people and environment.

This research was held in two experiments who applied the biomimetic based thinking approach “Biology to Design” (Biomimicry 3.8, 2007). Expe-riment A, without the use of new technologies and Experiment B, with the use of new digital technologies. In the end, thanks to the exploratory and experimental process, su-pported by the use of new digital technologies enhancing Biomimietics, an innovative concept for packaging design was achieved.

The production of prints, textures and reliefs through surface design has ena-bled the creation... more The production of prints, textures and reliefs through surface design has ena-bled the creation of bold and creative projects for different segments of industrial pro-duction, among them the furniture industry. The marquetry is a technique of ornamen-tation of flat surfaces by creating designs with the application of different materials, especially wood veneers. The present work has the objective of creating a pattern of marquetry from a conceptual reference and the subsequent application on the surface of a piece of furniture. The concept was defined from the analysis of the formal constitution of the Ruins of São Miguel da Missões. The furniture developed was a side table, with functionality inspired by the structure of the ruins. The marquetry was made from geo-metric modules, in the colors red, blue and light wood, being applied in one of the pieces of the table. Combining a traditional, artistically executedtechnique with a cultural re-ference, the result was a contemporary style furniture. Finally, the furniture prototype was produced

In this sense, the presentation of this article aims to present practical cases where the authors’ actual participation in the use of industrial waste as raw material in the production of new products, in line with Eco-design, took place. It also explains the importance of the preliminary tests for the characterization of the residues, the details of the productive processes necessary for its incorporation and the validation of the final products in relationto their final application.

Production systems undergo transformations due to intensification in the use of new technologies,... more Production systems undergo transformations due to intensification in the use of new technologies, stimulating reflections on potential impacts in mature industries, such as textiles. This is traditionally identified as of low technological intensity, espe-cially the subsector specializing in carpets. Thus, the purpose of the study was to identify the technological situation of this industry and point out perspectives. A bibliographical and documentary research was carried out, presenting results that suggest: perception of the tendency of the transformation of the textile nature through hybrid materials, which incorporate electronics and nanotechnology; Recognition of opportunities in a new competitive environment from intersectoral partnerships; Identification of the con-tributions of the Strategic Design for mature industries.

The Universal Design and Assistive Technology, aimed at safe interaction between the individual and his meal, by means of adapted cutlery. Cutlery materials affect the perception of food by chemical, physical and mechanical interactions. This article aimed to select materials for adapted cutlery, prioritizing the autonomy of people with disabilities. The methodological procedures are the application of GODP criteria and Ashby Method. Ultimately, were selected, the low-alloy steel for the cutlery and PA 12 for the handle.

This study aims to identify the laser cutting technical parameters in cardboard tubes, and charac... more This study aims to identify the laser cutting technical parameters in cardboard tubes, and characterize the material by scanning thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA ) and electron microscopy (MEV. As a result, the combustion temperature the ATG iden-tified, indicates that even at 210°C there is a range of safety of the tubes. The scanning electron microscopy showed the morphological characteristics of the inner surface, out-side of the core and the cardboard tube edge. It was concluded the feasibility of applying the laser cutting technology in the material, determining the proper power and speed to more efficiently cut into each thickness. After research, it is shown that the cardboard tube is a material that could be used on product design.

This article presents results obtained by a research project that aimed to inves-tigate and dev... more This article presents results obtained by a research project that aimed to inves-tigate and develop material from solid waste of synthetic rubber of discarded slippers and to suggest applications in product design. With the use of this residue powdered, tests were carried out with artificial and vegetable binders that formed alternative ma-terials that were subsequently subjected to chemical and physical tests. As results, three experimental materials were obtained using low environmental impact binders. This article will present one of the materials obtained as well as suggestion of application in the surface design.

The definition of materials and processes in product development can direct the design... more The definition of materials and processes in product development can direct the design process to be applied and, in some cases, promote innovation. Considering the Brazilian nautical industry, its context and needs, this article presents the result of a master’s project that aimed to create a product to gain operational efficiency, increase productivity and reduce waste. As a result, a modular platform system has been develo-ped that includes three models of boats and their different accessories. Considering eco-design requirements, the result also presented the potential for gains and cost reduction in the production chain, considering company, people and environment.

This research was held in two experiments who applied the biomimetic based thinking approach “Biology to Design” (Biomimicry 3.8, 2007). Expe-riment A, without the use of new technologies and Experiment B, with the use of new digital technologies. In the end, thanks to the exploratory and experimental process, su-pported by the use of new digital technologies enhancing Biomimietics, an innovative concept for packaging design was achieved.

The production of prints, textures and reliefs through surface design has ena-bled the creation... more The production of prints, textures and reliefs through surface design has ena-bled the creation of bold and creative projects for different segments of industrial pro-duction, among them the furniture industry. The marquetry is a technique of ornamen-tation of flat surfaces by creating designs with the application of different materials, especially wood veneers. The present work has the objective of creating a pattern of marquetry from a conceptual reference and the subsequent application on the surface of a piece of furniture. The concept was defined from the analysis of the formal constitution of the Ruins of São Miguel da Missões. The furniture developed was a side table, with functionality inspired by the structure of the ruins. The marquetry was made from geo-metric modules, in the colors red, blue and light wood, being applied in one of the pieces of the table. Combining a traditional, artistically executedtechnique with a cultural re-ference, the result was a contemporary style furniture. Finally, the furniture prototype was produced
