Anime Romance Stillness Community
The Community
Welcome to 
animelovestills, a stillness icontest dedicated to all anime couples, either displayed, implied, or your own favorites. The "stillness" trend was started by 
quebelly becuase of her frustrations at seeing mediocre animated icons win challenges when there were better, non-animated icons that should have won. As the name implies, you are only allowed to enter "still" icons.

The Rules
[+] Your submissions must remain anonymous. That means you are not allowed to post them anywhere on livejournal, or anywhere else, telling people the icon is yours, and that they should vote for it. That brings me into the second rule:
[+] Do not tell anyone to vote for you, and you are not to vote for yourself either. Winning isn't everything. The point of an icontest is to see what you are capable of. It helps improve your style and see which styles others like best. Telling someone to vote for you defeats the whole purpose.
[+] The icon must fit lj standards, so that if others like your icon, and with your purmission, they may use it. LJ stardards are: less than 40K, no larger than 100x100 pixels, and either .png, .gif, or .jpg.
[+] Your icon must be newly made for the challenge. You are not allowed to use icons you have previously submitted in other icontests.
[+] Don't take someone's submission icon to use without asking for the owner's permission. I will post who entered which icon after the challenge is over, so you can personally contact them.
[+] No animation obviously. This is a stillness community.
[+] Only anime/manga couple icons are allowed. Obviously. xD
The Submissions
[+] Every Monday (unless stated otherwise) around 9:00 PM EST, a theme will go up. You will have until Friday around 9:00 PM EST of the same week to submit your icons.
[+] You are responsible for hosting your own icons. Don't try Tripod or Geocities, because those image links will end up broken. I will not accept any icons hosted on those sites. Try either Photobucket or Image Shack.
[+] Submit your icon with it's img src and url form. Also include the character and anime it is from. Example:

The Voting
[+] After the deadline, voting post will go up usually, right after deadline, give or take a few hours.
[+] Voting is only open to members.
[+] Voting will usually end Sunday night, around 9:00 PM EST.
[+] Depending on how many icons were entered determines how many places there will be. with 1-3 icons, members will only vote for first place. With 4 or 5 icons, members will only vote for first and secon place. With 6+ icons, members will vote for first, second, and third place.
