Wow, it's been like 6 years since I've posted in here. Look at that, there are members in this community! A community I built! I'm so excited. Anyway, I'm going to attempt to load a photo or two from the AIDS walk my family and I attended in... Anyways, i am currently working on a project about the APA's (American Psychiatric Association) removal of homosexuality as a mental disorder. Up until 1973, the reference book called the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders)listed homosexuality as a mental disorder. As a young gay male, this frightens me. What if we still lived in a world where homosexuals were considered mentally disturbed? i think we have definitely come a long way since then. Well anyways, i want to find out what some of u think about this. How do u think the removal of homosexuality as a mental disorder has changed the world? Or what do u think society would be like if it were not removed?I was also reading this web site that is put on by the Traditional Living Coalition, and they ask, "Has psychiatry really proven that homosexual behavior is normal?" As i read this i automatically asked WHAT IS NORMAL??!!!! I DONT THINK ANYONE CAN ANSWER THAT!!! so anyways, id really like to hear what people think about these subjects.

I started watching it a few years ago and I don't feel the same if I miss an episode. It's so refreshing as opposed to all the other shows that (in my humble opinion) pidgeonhole gays into the 'flamboyant gay male' category.......anyway I'll quit before I start a rant.merry christmas and happy 05!!! (a bit belated yes)

What do you think about homophobes? What do you think about people that always "act gay" but "really aren't?"A lot of boys at school do that and flirt with each other and pretend they're gay at times, but "aren't" and I've just been curious about some of them, are they just afraid to show who they really are? Why do people have to hide? Why can't they just be honest with themselves? People say that homophobes are insecure about their sexuality and that is why they make fun of others. That could be true because when I was younger I made fun of my mom a lot because she wore burkenstocks (sp?) and always called her a lesbian...and now I'm a total fruitcake. But I also think that some of these people might just not understand gays and that is why they make fun of them. So...I just wanted to hear your opinions on that.

My friend and I were discussing gay marriage.I was all pissed off about how all of the S.F. marriages got voided by the CA government. He, though, doesn't like gays, thinks it's "not normal" and that people aren't "born gay." Now, I didn't get mad at him for his honest opinion, because i knew when I brought it up that I would get all hostile anyway. BUT the thing that bugs me is that SOOOO many people have the same way of thinking as him and it just makes me kinda sad you know? I just can't believe gay marriage is such a big topic and that it's even an issue because it's total OBVIOUS discrimination to be against it. So yeah, GRRRRR...
