In order to transform our world, we need to recognize and respect human developmental needs, to honor our children and offer them an education which provides them with the conditions of freedom which they need to engage their instinctive motivational needs for growth through learning. (Lieberman 2017). This natural process of holistic education is the construction of mature and rational conscience is a function of complete psychological development can help cultivate their potential for complete humanness, develop into complete human beings for self-actualization (Lieberrman,2017). Such holistic education can help children's self-actualization and enable them to become responsible, socially balanced adults with attributes of moral intelligence and the wisdom of compassion which is required for creative and effective social adaptability (Lieberman, 2016). Today, there is a fundamental shift away from the traditional paradigm of education based on the belief that children have to be taught the human values required for social adaptability, a

Humane individuals create humane societies. We need to understand our collective human problems, social and political, in terms of education. For example, we must trust ourselves to trust children as learners who have an instinctive responsibility to themselves and their growth through learning. " They must be trusted with independent study, with challenges, with problems to solve and with appropriate social responsibilities. They will respect the understanding teacher and will respond to respect for their humanity, their intelligence and their natural sense of responsibility to themselves, to their community and to their world " (Lieberman, 2017). The dysfunctional relationship with oneself and the other leads to irrational fears which translate into the fear-based emotions and attitudes which prevent authentic relationship and complete cognition necessary for empathic understanding of the social reality.

When Bell started the company that would later become AT&T in 1876, no one could have predicted the future of telecommunications that time. So, by 1892, the American Telephone and Telegraph Company (AT&T) established its first long distance line connecting Chicago and New York. AT&T battered its first competitive threat in the 1890s when Bell’s second patent expired and over 6,000 new companies flooded the market over a ten-year period.

During my previous work experience, I noticed an exponential growth of nonprofit organizations in developing countries. As I tried to understand this phenomenon, it came clear to me that the betrayal of public trust from the leaders and local governments in those regions mentioned above was part of this increasing confidence and hope toward nonprofit organizations. From my personal experiences, according to the set of principles that guide nonprofits, there should be no doubt that nonprofit organizations have more ethical business practices in the way they run. A standard set of principles may be different for all of the nonprofit organizations that exist; however, they all share a common goal of making the world a better place by focusing on the essential community needs and human flourishing, which also coincides with the utilitarian theory that Jennings (2012) described.

His strategies, leadership style, and core competency has led to ultimate success at Apple Inc. Steve Jobs used many different strategies when launching Apple Inc. First, he devised a plan which led to his strategic management style, and ensured that innovation remain pervasive (Mulgan & Albury, 2003:6). He had the idea of creating a style of mass innovation. Everything Apple designs and markets have originality and creativeness at its core. According to Jones and George (2011), “Apple is the leader in music downloads and player business” (p. 8). Steve Jobs planned and restructured Apple in such a way that made the company flourish and grow substantially. His strategic management style has pushed Apple to the top of the computer chain. Even though Apple is very expensive, the simplicity and quality of a long lasting product causes consumers to the Apple over other brands.

Khurana and Nohria (2008) support their claim by comparing and contrasting lawyers and doctors with the possibility of what a management profession would be like. The main aim is to convince the readers that a professional code for managers should be established so the unethical practices will begin diminishing in society. The thesis in this article is convincing; however, there is not any statistical data to back up their claims about misconduct and moral behavior in current management practices today (Khurana & Nohria, 2008). Based off the information given in this article, I will discuss how a management profession would occur if it were to be set forth in society; then I will discuss the benefits and downfalls; then I go over some examples and why this topic might be important in this present era.

Netflix’s customers were rapidly increasing and so was the need for data (Datastax, 2013). At first, everything was in one database which was not the best for the company and customers. The old streaming program required Netflix to have ten minutes of downtime every two weeks (Datastax, 2013). This was not good, so Netflix was able to get a new streaming program that did not require the downtime. This was part of change at Netflix that was successful in the long run.

In order for companies’ to be successful, the managers and CEO’s must have outstanding competencies for adequacy of strategies to fall into place within the organization. Competent managers and successful business strategies performed within an organization make competition between rival companies tough.

Such users following others are called “followers”. Twitter is for that reason used to remain updated on what is happening from any point of the world. This is why the founding developers declared that [they] “liked the SMS aspect [of the tweet] and how [people] could update from anywhere and receive [updates] from anywhere” (Case 24, p.354).

This is an issue because as a team we need to work together and not work against each other. I am the Assistant Director which means I am right next to the facilitator in the organization. It is almost as if everyone is trying to be on the facilitator’s good side by telling him bad things about other people. There were some rumors that were said about me by a couple of people to other members on our team. At this point, I realized there was an issue at hand and it had to be dealt with in some way.

Even though prices were kept low, the speed, service and cleanliness became the critical success factors of the business. Domestically, there was lack of growth opportunities. The market was well saturated, and it became difficult to achieve double-digit growth. It was even reported at some extend that servers at McDonald were dating customers (Blake, 2009). So, the need for corporate governance was necessary, hence the avenue of “drive thru” to eliminate such unethical practices. Also, sales and revenues were flattening as competitors like Burger King, Wendy, and Taco Bell got into the race. “Sonic” and “Rally” competed by using a back-to-basics approach of quickly serving up burgers, just burgers, for timeless consumers.

Chipotle furthered their food with integrity to naturally raised chicken two years later following with naturally raised beef in 2007. Chipotle realized that by incorporating natural products into their food, it would not only be better for the environment and bodies of its consumers, it would also just taste better overall. Not only did Chipotle highlight the significance of changing their meats but they later followed this concept to their other ingredients from their assembly line. Chipotle’s word of honor to their customers and local farmers was what kept them on top. Ells, the founder said to be more interested in the well being of the animals, farmers and consumers than making profit. The new golden foil resembles the celebration of the past 18 years of progress for the company in creating food with the finest and most sustainable ingredients they could find (Case 5, p.74).

The intended strategy of this case study is analysis of research and direct observation. This is a management type of case because it refers to Federal Express, a management solution provider, as one of the American’s great success enterprises, serving as a leader in the supply chain. This paper examines a new type of information system rarely described in the company literature, probably because very few such systems exist today. The system, which we have labeled as an organizational effectiveness system, is designed to ensure the health and well-being of an organization in an increasingly complex and turbulent world. Its purpose and net effect are to allow the organization to be flexible and responsive. PRISM, a system developed at Federal Express Corporation, is an imitable example of such a system. As an advanced multi-technology system, it includes core personnel functions, expanded personnel and organizational functions, and extensive external interface features. The PRISM system permits significant and constant interactions with all managers and all employees. This paper describes PRISM in considerable details as well as its impact and benefits. By extrapolating from the Federal Express experience, critical success factors are derived for the development and implementation of organizational effectiveness systems in other organizations (Palvia, 2005).

Most of our individual problems and our collective human problems result from the lack of moral intelligence which derives from over emphasis on competition involving collaboration which is immoral, unintelligent, irresponsible and therefore destructive. Such lack of adaptive competition is characteristic of the egocentric level of human consciousness and its desire to protect its own self interests. Egocentric and immoral or 'unethical' competitiveness cannot be the way to resolve the problems which it created in the first place. It is my opinion that ethical competition is characteristic of the moral or 'spiritual' level of human consciousness and its concern for the welfare of others (Lieberman, 2017). For this reason, our survival and continued evolution depends on the choice of philosophical paradigm which underlies the education which we offer to our children.

Did they even have a code of conduct? According to Brewer (2007) 90% of Enron employees believed that the company was unethical. Why did they continue working there? Probably, the employees needed money and liked the money they were earning so they continued their employment at Enron. Brewer (2007) was a former Enron executive and she stated, “For most at Enron, it eventually became easier and more beneficial to adopt the doctrine of plausible deniability” (p. 26).
