🌱 Our National Ag Day started on a high with a collaborative session "Sowing the Seeds" for effective agricultural research collaboration with Australia 🌱 The Sowing the Seeds Webinar was hosted by the Australian Embassy, Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry and Department of Education for Latin and South America. Providing insights into and showcasing the Australian R&D and innovation landscape and the opportunities for connection and collaboration. It was introduced by Ambassador for Chile and Ecuador Andrew Martin and emcee'd by Kassia Hare. The event had over 200 attendees registered from countries across Latin and South America including Chile, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, Colombia and Brazil. 👉 Harriet Mellish provided an insight into the Australian RDC and agritech ecosystem, AgriFutures growAG and its global collaborators and partners, and AgriFutures evokeAG in Brisbane 2025. 👉 Dr Mick Schaefer, CEO Food Agility shared an overview of the CRC system, Food Agility and its projects and international partnerships, and the global farm network. 👉 Alec Webb CEO Regional Universities Network gave attendees a synopsis of the extensive regional university network and the opportunities available. A fantastic conversation with liked-minded people. Last week, our engagement manager Rebecca Bradford had the pleasure of touring around beautiful New Zealand alongside Sophie Rebbeck, who introduced her to key players within the NZ agrifood ecosystem. 🌏 Over 6 days they embarked on a fact-finding mission to better understand the New Zealand agrifood landscape. Meeting with key players to identify how they fit into the ecosystem, their strengths and where they see opportunities for their business. 🚀 The goal for the trip was to better position the AgriFutures growAG platform to support the New Zealand businesses by understanding exactly what they need. 🤝 Bec and Sophie visited two regions Ōtautahi Christchurch and Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Meeting with 25 companies and engaging with 52 people. Thanks to everyone who took the time to meet with Sophie and Bec last week, we really appreciate your time and willingness to share what goes on behind the scenes of your business in regard to research and commercialisation. Our team looks forward to keeping in touch and continuing to support these businesses into the future.
