- Who doesnβt love a school excursion visit to a farm? π For city kids, itβs almost an impossible dream, but with thanks to Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, MLA is participating in a two week-long event called Farm Days, where around 1,600 school students from around Sydney will have the opportunity to have a day excursion for an interactive educational experience at the Sydney Showground, which for many Sydney school kids will be as close as they get to a real farm! π€ MLAβs Australian Good Meat curriculum aligned school resources are being utilised with support from Red Meat Ambassador Deb Gray and Primary Industries Education Foundation Australia Luiciano Mesiti. π Special thanks to Duncan Kendall, Imogen Boughey, Katey Steet, Dianne Murray and MLA team Allison Lee, Susan Howe, Madison Coster, Kayla Ludman, Kelly Hawley, Samantha Jamieson for support in delivering the Farm Day sessions. π

The ABSF Consultative Committee meeting, led by Jacob Betros, was held in Brisbane last week, where Amy Chow and Vivian Harris shared an insightful presentation on international consumer trends regarding beef and sustainability. π EMR and STR Consulting led a dynamic discussion on the materiality of the beef industry, and attendees shared valuable insights from the recent GRSB wrap-up. This meeting also marked a significant moment as it was Mark Davie's final one as chair of the sustainability steering group. π - Australian Good Meat has taken to the streets of Australia to enquire about some burning questions the public might have for Australian red meat farmers. π₯© This new Ask a Farmer video is another great example of how the Australian Good Meat team is capturing the attention of a wider Australian audience and helping bridge the knowledge gap in the industry. π₯ What are some questions you wish more people knew the answer to about your farms?
