Hey :) You're doing EXACTLY what I did last year... lol. I couldn't wait to transfer in, and now that I have I like campus so much I'm living here and taking summer courses :) So mortensen...I live in 204 (and have it all to myself, because I played the "diabetes card") it's a handicap room... But nice :) and mine (which is the best part). The apartments are nice, and come with a kitchenette and cable access. I transferred in from Waldorf college and am amazed at how much better campus life is around here. If you have any questions, feel free to ask :)Sweeet! The campus itself is beautiful. I went to visit in mid-March, and there was still a ton of snow on the ground, but yeah..awesome.I'm already pretty jealous that you have a whole room to yourself! That's rad..so are there guy/girl floors, or co-ed? If they're split up, are there floor hours? SPU is pretty strict about that kinda stuff, also about drinking, smoking, etc. What's Augsburg's take on all of that? Augsburg isn't a 'dry campus' meaning you can have alcohol (provided you're over 21). Security varies on strictness... So I'm not entirely sure. Floors are co-ed... and the noise level around here is pretty good :) Also we get out after the first week of May, which is really nice (my little sister goes to St. Olaf, and is currently still in school). Haha..yeah. I move out of my dorm on June 7th. I just got done with midterms..that's so nice that Augsburg gets out early. Thanks so much for the info on everything :) They usually don't let you know who your roommate is, or what room you have until mid-August... but that's for freshmen...so I'm not sure what they'll do for you. You may not find out until soon before you get to school. If you have an account on Augnet, you can usually 'directory search' yourself and it lists what room your in...this may not be listed until August. Having lived in both Seattle and Minneapolis, check out Tracy's bar on Franklin ave, if it's still there. |
