Welcome to Batman Unlimited, a general community for fans to meet and discuss Batman and its many incarnations. This is a moderated community, so please read the rules thoroughly before making a post.

Rules:

01. Be polite and courteous to your fellow members. Rudeness, excessive swearing, and general asshattery will not be tolerated. If you can't play nice you will be banned!
02. Stay on topic! This is a community for you to meet other Batfans and engage in thought-provoking discussion. This is not a place for you to post nonsense when you're bored.
03. Fanfiction, fanart, and other fan creations are allowed, but keep it reasonable. No one wants to have their friends list flooded with fanfiction updates or fanmixes.
04. Please observe the conventions of formal English. Use correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation, and keep netspeak to a minimum.
05. Respect others' opinions! Hate/love a particular 'ship? That doesn't mean everyone else has to agree with you. If you don't like it, don't read it. It's as simple as that. On the same token, don't shove your OTP down someone else's throat.
06. Icon/graphics requests are allowed. But please, be sensible.
07. POSTS MUST BE APPROVED BY A MODERATOR! Once you submit a post, it will be automatically entered into the queue. If your post is in violation of the rules or does not meet community standards, it will be rejected.

What this community is:

a place to meet and discuss anything related to the Batman franchise. This includes the comics, animated series, and films.
a place to ask intelligent questions and recommend quality fanfiction and fanart.

What this community is not:

a place to SPAM us with your icons or fanfiction. Moderation is key!
a Joker fan community. Honestly, people, there are other characters, not the least of which is the caped crusader himself!
a place to squee about how hot Christian Bale/Heath Ledger/Aaron Eckhart/~~Michael Caine~~ is. There are individual communities for that sort of thing.

FANFICTION GUIDELINES

01. Please observe the conventions of formal English. Use correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation; NO NETSPEAK!
02. Please please please make sure that your characters are actually IN CHARACTER!! I cannot stress this enough. Do a little research. Study the characters before you attempt to write them. Please don't emasculate the Joker by making him cuddly. The Joker would as soon kill you as look at you, don't forget this.
03. No MARY-SUES! No one wants to read The Joker/You.
04. Try to make your plot elements at least feasible. Good fanfiction should be both believable and coherent.
