To examine long-run and short-run effects of industrial financial development on carbon emissions in Bangladesh. Methodology. The auto-regressive distributed lag model was implemented on the data collected from 1976 to 2020 to exhibit cointegration in regression form. Traditional unit roots as well as the Zivot-Andrews structural break test was conducted for investigating a significant single-break. The auto-regressive distributed lag model (ARDL) model approved long-run cointegration having a structural break in this study. Findings. The results conclude that energy consumption triggers carbon emissions with a significant effect on short and long-run models but financial development has no significant effect on environmental degradation. A considerable U-shape Environmental Kuznets Curve hypothesis is observed at the nexus of carbon emissions and economic growth. Originality. The current study proposed to contribute to the existing literature by assessing the effects of fi...

In this paper, the relationship among per capita GDP, Infant Mortality Rate, Literacy Rate and CO 2 Emission for Bangladesh using Co-integration, Augmented Dicky Fuller's (ADF) and Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) with data set of 1979-2018 is explored. The results indicate that there is a long-term relationship and short-term relationship among the variables. Infant Mortality, CO 2 Emission, and Literacy Rate directly have an impact on GDP. Infant Mortality Rate and CO 2 Emission have a Negative Impact on GDP. In contrast, Literacy Rate has a Positive Impact on GDP. The outcome has considerable substantial implications on the degree of sentiment of economic development, social condition, pollution, and awareness.

The outbreak of COVID-19 has created more pressure on the labor market. The pandemic reduces employment opportunities as most of the companies have stopped their recruitment process to cut their operational costs, which increases the rate of graduate unemployment in Bangladesh. Hence, this study aims to investigate the impact of COVID-19 on graduate employability in Bangladesh that adversely affects the income of families and eventually the nation's economy. A literature review has been conducted from secondary sources to evaluate the impact, which shows that the rate of graduate unemployment increased from 47% to 58% in 2020 with an expected annual loss estimated at $53 million. Findings also reveal that the prime reasons for graduate employability are low demand and huge supply of graduates in the labor market, lack of professional skills of graduates, ineffective education system, etc. The study suggests that the government of Bangladesh should develop some policies to overcome this problem such as ensuring employment subsidies, implementing skills development programs, improving labor market flexibility, initiating credit programs for generating employment, and developing entrepreneurial ecosystems in Bangladesh.

This article also determines a crucial heterogeneous firm's trade model which is intentionally considerable the same as the Melitz hypothesis. The optimistic and restraining aspects of the model are evaluated in a pattern intended to feature the niche financial motive of the model. The assessment intends to review how extensively the picked macroeconomic methods provoke the India's Real Exchange Rate, by operating the Johansen long-run experimenting strategy to trade with administration co-integration. The paper demonstrates intriguing determinations. Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) unit root test, Phillips-Perron (PP) unit root tests, and Kwiatkowski–Phillips Schmidt–Shin (KPSS) tests have been encompassed to determine whether comprehensive data are stationary or not. By evaluating the Johansen test for cointegration, this article illustrates the union among Real Exchange Rate, Interest Rate, and Inflation Rate in India. VECM also applied to evaluate the short-run dynamics of Real Exchange Rate model. Cumulative Sum (CUSUM) and Cumulative Sum of Square (CUSUMQ) are utilized to assess the superiority of the model. The results illustrate short-run and long-run unions among Real Exchange Rate, Inflation Rate, and Interest Rate; and the findings shows that the Inflation Rate adversely exploits the Real Exchange Rate; notwithstanding, Interest Rate has an Optimistic effect. Furthermore, the Inflation rate has an accessible causal alliance with Real Exchange Rate; nevertheless, Interest rate has a unidirectional affair. This paper defines the chance to improve the Real Exchange Rate by lessening the Inflation rate and growing the Interest rate.
