This is a theoretical qualitative research, discussing the questions of living experiences in rel... more This is a theoretical qualitative research, discussing the questions of living experiences in relation to the learn-teach process in the Architecture and Urban Design courses well as the pedagogic approach to the teaching methodologies related to that course. Starting by characterizing the profession, its state in the country according to the Conselho de Arquitetura e Urbanismo, and of its practitioners and the characterization of the course in Brazil according to the Associação Brasileira de Ensino da Arquitetura and the minimal curriculums of the Ministry of Education. Following that first moment we characterize the atelier teaching and the teaching of architecture, in this endeavor we will use the theory support of John Dewey, Yu Fu Tuan, Le Corbusier, Mallard e Walter Benjamin this last specially to demonstrate the meaning of live experience and the reality of the atelier teaching. Finally we confront the treated subjects with the reality of a working professional of the field to display, under the terms of the previous chapters, his academic experiences and its repercussions in his professional life.
