2/25/10 08:00 am - dahlia6 - A great book I found From the temples of ancient Egypt to the homes of modern Witches, cats have long been associated with magick and mystery. Examining cat mythology and folklore from around the world and sprinkled with enchanting cat quotes from famous feline admirers throughout the ages, The Enchanted Cat is a must-read for any magickal cat fancier. Witches, Pagans, and other magick-minded folks will love the dozens of charms, spells, and meditations included for working with feline power. A naming ceremony, lists of magickal cat names and correspondences, and spells and charms for your cat's collar are just a sampling of the feline-friendly magick inside. Cat astrology, tarot, and even a discussion of feline feng shui make The Enchanted Cat a uniquely magickal exploration of our enduring fascination with the feline mystique. Does anyone know of any oracle cards that either focuses on male and female godforms, or just male, since I have already found a set of goddess cards that I like the look of, but it would be brilliant if there were some gods cards to go with them. Many thanks, and blessed be! |

10/24/09 06:59 pm - altaeruditas - A crash course in looking for a Pagan religion "Paganism" is a catch phrase of numerous religions, but in and of itself, Paganism is not a religion. Many people who are new to the religion do not know where to begin looking for a group to belong to, or what it is they should be looking for.Since this is a common question, I thought I would post some of the information I teach this to our local community and to my students. If you do not agree with the way I present the material, that is fine. We all have our own views of things. However, this is after 20 years of training and research that I have come to these conclusions.( Read more...Collapse ) |

10/24/09 01:16 pm - ctenophoraa - Hello Friends I've just joined and figured I'd post and introduction of sorts. So I'm Ctenophoraa, and I'm not actually a Wiccan. I'm on a bit of a spiritual journey and I've stumbled across the world of Paganism. As for my personal beliefs, I used to be a strong atheist, but that wasn't working out for me. I've always felt a strong connection to nature; I love walking with it, observing it, and simply being a part of it. Recently I had a spiritual epiphany while relaxing in a city park of all places, and I decided I had to abandon my atheist beliefs. I fiercely reject the human and masculine centered Judeo/Christian/Islam religions, and I can't really get into the patriarchy of many of the Eastern religions. Basically, I have my own beliefs about the divinity of nature and the female gender, and through some research this lead me to Wicca. Unfortunately, I know no Wiccans, so I've had to turn to the internet for resource. So here I am out to learn more about Wicca and other Pagan religions. I hope to get to know you all as I discover my own path. By the way, I'm 20 years old, live in New Jersey, and I'm a university student.Sorry if this intro was long. Thanks for reading!--Ctenophoraa |
