Join us in Activating Boston’s New Civic Arts Space
Boston Lyric Opera is in the final stretch of a transformative $11 million fundraising initiative to establish the Opera + Community Studios—a 16,000-square-foot cultural space for creation, collaboration, and community in the heart of the Fort Point arts neighborhood.
Together, we’re creating a shared civic resource where artists, youth, and the community can create, learn, gather, and grow.
With $10 million already raised, we’re calling on our community to help us reach the finish line. The final stretch will fund the essential artistic and public infrastructure needed to fully reopen the Studios to the public in March 2026.
Opera + Community Studios is more than a building—it’s a civic investment in Boston’s cultural future. Help BLO raise the final $1 million to bring this shared arts space to life by 2026.
Every gift brings us closer to a future where space for art is space for everyone.

Where Your Donations Will Go:
These crucial upgrades will unlock the Studios’ ability to support hundreds of artists annually, and become the dynamic cultural resource Boston deserves.
Your support will fund the essential infrastructure and accessibility upgrades needed to fully realize this project’s potential.
Enhanced acoustics & sound mitigation to ensure professional-grade artistry.
Full accessibility, including new elevators, to guarantee this is a space for everyone.
Modernized building systems to create a sustainable, efficient, and safe environment for artists and audiences alike.
Every gift helps lay a brick in this new cultural landmark. By supporting the Opera + Community Studios, you are not just funding a building—you are investing in the artists, the stories, and the shared creative experiences that will define Boston’s cultural landscape.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has contributed to the development of the Opera + Community Studios through your presence and your gifts. Your generosity is deeply appreciated.
