Thank you - I was quite chuffed as I took it in, when other exhibitors admired it!

Thank you!

Well done. It is lovely and deserved the prize :)
I entered a pair of bootees in our local fete last year and was rather embarrassed to win as first prize as it was the only entry. They weren't very good either!

I decided to enter three different classes partly to support the show and partly to improve my chances of winning!

That is a GORGEOUS shawl. CONGRATS!!

Thanks - it's basically a shawl of knitted holes and I'm blowed if I know what to do with it now!

Congratulations! It's lovely.

It's gorgeous, well done!

I was scrolling the picture, and at first (I'm on a small screen netbook) saw the third prize card, and got all indignant ...

Ahaha, yes, that would have been sad!

Quite an accomplishment. Even more so because you came in ahead of the little farm animals at an ag show!

Knitting is on the increase, there was even a table with three knitters and two spinners demonstrating their leet skillz.

Congratulations, that's a lovely shawl! I admire your patience! And Well Done on winning 1st prize!

Thank you - I nearly gave up when I snagged a loop and had to unravel the Whole. Damn. Thing. Glad I persevered!

Congrats! That's such a great looking shawl. I love the red colour too!

It's fab, isn't it - I wanted something I could wear with my big black coat at the Remembrance Day parade, and decided I couldn't go wrong with poppy red!

Wow! That is Just. Amazing. Congratulations on winning. Do hope you don't mind me asking, but what was the pattern you used?

Crikey, that's out of the blue!

http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/queen-annes-lace-5 - it took some time but I'd do it again.

Actually, I did do it again. The first time I knitted it, I had almost finished, the snagged a stitch on a button and created a huge loop of yarn. I had to unravel and reknit the whole thing...
