This is a community for discussion and criticism of Christianity. It is a forum for those who hate Christianity (although not a hate group), those who want to promote or defend their Christian faith, and those who want an informed discussion about Christianity. Ask questions. Voice opions and complaints. Share insights and ideas. Discuss and debate. Our objective is to facilitate dialogue and understanding, and see the challenges met, questions answered, and complaints heard.
Rules
If you refuse to follow the rules, you will be banned instantly, without warning. Ignorance is no excuse.
Preface
This isn't a democracy. These are rules we've found helpful and necessary to the community. We aren't going to argue over how they can be interpreted.
If there's a problem, we'll let you know. If the problem is bad enough, we may ban you without warning. But if you try to be nice and polite with other participants you will most likely never have to worry about being banned.
Summary
Remember that you are talking to real people with real thoughts, concerns, feelings, experiences, and lives outside of the computer. We require basic decency and respect between all members. We permit some strong language, but do not tolerate vulgar or gratuitously graphic content. Try not to be a jerk.
An Additional Note For Christians:
Jesus associated with sinners without sinning Himself (Mt 9:10; Heb 4:15). Jesus associated with the uneducated without treating them like idiots (Ac 4:13; Mt 11:25). Jesus is the only one who ever had the right to feel superior, but instead He chose to humble Himself for our sake (Php 2:5-8). If you don't feel you can follow His example then it's on your conscience whether you should be in this community. Either way, we will enforce these rules and you will be held to a higher standard.
Rules
1. Do not be hostile and insulting to other participants. Try to be constructive.
2. Put jokes, comics, pictures, videos and exceptionally long posts (over 4500 characters) under cut tags. This is out of consideration for those with dialup connections and those who read other posts on their Friends Page.
3. Do not advertise. If you want special permission for a special occasion, contact a moderator. If your post even looks or sounds like an advertizement but you have not contacted a moderator, your post will be deleted and marked as spam.
4. Do not beat a Dead Horse. Current Dead Horses will be listed here.
5. Do not remove the comments feature or screen the comments in your post. Your post will be deleted.
6. Do not delete comments under your post or thread. Your post will be deleted.
7. Do not criticize or correct the English usage in anybody's post or comment when you haven't been explicitly asked to. That is rude and condescending.
8. The above rules apply even when you are talking to a troll.
9. If you suspect someone of being a troll, contact a moderator.
