@Chuck: That was about a private filter also tripped by WikiEditorJav twice, with numberless id "an abuse filter" and "Filter description: Spammer 2". I generally refer to that filter and other private filters as "another filter" on COM:FILTERT, and many times I have used a hidden ping to alert that Checkuser, who never objected. You are the first helper to notice such use. I surmise that the private filters are private to prevent spammers and other abusers from finding out exactly how they were detected (so as not to spill the beans). Please note that my responses on that page are not automated. They were all original once, and I copy/paste from Notepad++ a lot with some tweaking to work smarter rather than harder. That sounds great, or there is an essay that explains every filter, why its tripped, and what can be done to avoid it. Would be extremely useful for promotional filters, because rehashing the paid editor policy gets old fast. All the Best -- Chuck Talk 04:13, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
