What is Claim-A-Hero? It's a community where you can join and 'claim' your favorite hero from a movie, book, TV show, whatever. It was inspired by Claim A Villain (hope you don't mind), and since I saw no Claim-A-Hero around, I decided to make one.

What's claiming? Claiming is a fun little term where you might have a favorite character, and you want to show it off, so you post on a community, saying you'd like to claim so-and-so, and once accepted, you can add put it on your userlookup saying you've claimed this person. Some people take it a little too seriously, but it's really supposed to be for fun to show off your favorite character.

Rules

Of course there are going to be rules; follow them closely.
1. I can't stress this enough; please be

CIVIL

about this, it's just a claim for a character.
2. No sharing, unfortunately, it causes way too much confusion.
3. You can claim from ANY fandom, or even real life, as long as they are a

hero

.
4. If there is more than one version to a character, for example, let's say: Selphie from FFVIII and Kingdom Hearts, they can be claimed separately, but not by the same person. You may also claim the character if they are in a sequel or spin-off, such as claiming Tifa from the original FFVII-- you can also claim her in AC.
5. If you leave the community or your username is deleted, you will be stripped of your claims. You can come back and re-claim them though.
6. You may claim up to

three

heroes, but no more.
7. Don't claim more than one person from a fandom, please. This rule is only here so people don't hog a bunch of characters from one fandom.
8. If you never made all three of your claims, you're more than welcome to come back and use up the rest of your claims.
9. Most importantly, have fun! That's what we made this community for.
