Running is a great way to exercise -- all you need is a good pair of shoes and you can do it anywhere. But, it takes time to build up the endurance to run for even a short period of time. Don't give up! There's a way to become a runner without killing yourself if you're patient and follow an easy program called Couch to 5K.

This community was created for us new runners out there training for our first race. However, if you are not training for a race but just taking up the sport of running for the fun of it, weight loss, et cetera, you're welcome here as well.

Check in with us and tell how your training sessions went. Ask questions. Seek advice of fellow runners. Encourage each other and get encouraged. Get motivated and motivate others! Set goals and make yourself accountable. Let's get off of the couch and onto the road!!!

The only rules are to keep drama to a minimum (shouldn't be hard in a community with a topic like this, but you never know), do not screen or delete comments, do not delete posts, and do not disable commenting. If there's a problem, just send me a message and I'll handle it. If you want to promote a community, blog, or website, please run that by me as well. Also, please tag your posts. That's it, so have fun!
