Divine order and equilibrium were the universal principles and the theoretical construct governing nature around us and the entire cosmos. The old Theory of Everything (ToE) as it was mathematically conceptualized by Pythagoras and visualized by Plato—in the 5 synonymous regular forms—epitomized the principle of harmony. With the recent rediscovery of Plato’s 5th element we are able to under-stand that it was a higher dimensional world view based upon a geometrical living pattern of the world. This metaphysical superstructure was allegedly strongly linked to high ethical standards Plato discussed an ideal society in his “Republic.” Meanwhile, according to theoretical physics, the Universe is expanding at an accelerating pace and governed by ‘dark energy’ and ‘dark matter’ where ‘black holes’ are gaining more and more significance. How does the loss of ancient superstructures and new concepts of theoretical physics affect our society, and which rites and habits are left from antiquity?

named epitahedron {E±) which turned out to be Plato’s „5th element“ followed intuitively from the question: “If the Penrose Pattern is a 2D slice of 5-dimensional space, what would it’s 3-dimensional space cell look like?” Origami seemed the best way to explore this question. Enfolding the kites and darts to obtuse and acute triangles from the Robinson decomposition lead to the finding of two irregular heptahedra. Further research lead to hermeneutic interpretations of the Isis & Osiris myth as story which conveyed a detailed origami instruction for the unit cells of 5-dimensional space: therein the pentagonal grid and its 3-dimensional shape is symbolized by two brother gods Osiris and Seth & the sister goddess Isis. GAIA refers to ancient mythology as well as to Lovelock & Margulis' Gaia theory while the suffix 5.0 is referring to the 5-dimensional geometry framework presented as 3D animated film. The holographic representation is embedding the Earth into a 5-dimensional dodecahedral space conforming to the hyper-Euclidean visualisation of the Poincaré homology sphere by 36°, or π/5 radians counter-rotations of the upper and the lower compounds of 5D unit cells, named epitahedra (E±). This 4-dimensional dynamic dodecahedron proposed as model for the Universe by Henri Poincaré was recently identified as Plato's riddle about the fifth element a.k.a. quintessence. Here we use the 4-dimensional dodecahedron (epita-dodecahedron) as model for the Earth' complex dynamic system usually applied to symmetry operation in particle physics and cosmology for mathematical descriptions in ...

Research paper thumbnail of Quantum information traced back to ancient Egyptian mysteries

Technoetic Arts, 2013

There are strong indications that ancient Egyptian mythology contains knowledge about the nature ... more There are strong indications that ancient Egyptian mythology contains knowledge about the nature of space up to higher dimensions and provides ontologic answers for the question about the creation of matter. This article examines the pentagonal interpretation of the myth of Isis and Osiris by comparing the iconographic details with recent findings from the art research project Quantum Cinema, where an interdisciplinary group of digital artists and scientists established a virtual space model for visualizing the usually non-perceivable processes in the microcosm on a Planck scale. At this scale, quantum mechanics applied to space itself leads to a discrete amount of quantum states. For this research, a new geometrical tool proved invaluable: the epitahedron.
The double heptahedron named epitahedron (E±), a 3D Penrose kites and darts representation, confines the dodecahedron in many ways and seems to be Plato's fifth element. It is a 5D space cell, decorated with fragments of circles, which allows to visualize the permutations of symmetry elements within a discrete lattice (Z5). This higher-dimensional configuration is also the appropriate space to create a quantum-mechanical depiction of particles with inherent wave-like character by means of 3D animated geometry. Disguised in a mythological language the same subscendent space structure with the same golden polytope (E±) can be revealed: is this the origin of the concept of ether, the quintessence model which was a basic scientific task for the last 2500 years?

The artwork presented here is motivated by the wish to communicate an assumed underlying higher-dimensional space grid for the Universe. It was presented in the digital 3D animated opera named GAIA 5.0. – A Holographic Image Ambience, a big data visualisation project that proposes a 5-dimensional (suffix 5.0) geometric visualization of the Earth from the Gaia hypothesis standpoint: the Earth as a living, thus complex system. This quasi-crystallography visualisation, situates the Earth in the center of a dynamic 5-dimensional subscendent space configuration and draws parallels between 19th ether concept (cf. Lord Kelvin, V. How can we imagine light both as wave and particle? What is a particle? How can we make comprehensible the phenomenon of light as elec-tromagnetic distortion, incorporating the ideas of Maxwell, Faraday and especially Theodor Kaluza, who placed light in 5-dimensional space? We investigate a 3D digital dynamic geometrical model applied to theories of light in order to provide a visual access for a better mathematical understanding. Hence to achieve this convergence of theories, we examine experimental facts of the famous entangled photon picture and theories of lines of force with AR methods to bring together the notion of "light quanta" and their connection to a discrete space structure in 5D. How can we imagine light both as wave and particle? What is a particle? How can we make comprehensible the phenomenon of light as electromagnetic distortion, incorporating the ideas of Maxwell, Faraday and especially Theodor Kaluza, who placed light in 5-dimensional space? We investigate a 3D digital dynamic geometrical model applied to theories of light in order to provide a visual access for a better mathematical understanding. Hence to achieve this convergence of theories, we examine experimental facts of the famous entangled photon picture and theories of lines of force with AR methods to bring together the notion of "light quanta" and their connection to a discrete space structure in 5D. Examples of 3D animation are here depicted as still frames.

Origami seemed the best way to explore this question. So I started with enfolding the kites and darts to obtuse and acute triangles from the Robinson decomposition in order to find two irregular heptahedra. Was paper enfolding already a game in ancient Egypt that still survived until millenia later in Japan ?-Here the"Origami"technique and the "Katachi" concept shall be highlighted in regard to higher dimensional models of the word.

Here a truly Platonic approach shall oppose Copenhagen like interpretations which deny the need for any deeper description of reality beyond quantum theory. The presented proposal for an ontological model ties quantum mechanics to causal structures of higher dimensional space itself: It is the dynamic geometry of 5-dimensional space which works like a machine and seems to contain observables as described in some well-known contextuality proofs. Recently descriptions of noncontextual hidden variable (NCHV) theories were identified in visualizations of those evolving higher dimensional structures. The research asks for an epistemic access on the foundations of matter. Besides an overview of the assumed fundamental 5D model some geometrical structures matching the pentagram operators as proposed by Klyachko, Cabello and Bengtsson shall be presented together examples of contextuality proofs like Mermin’s (magic) pentagram and the GHZ state visualized as 3D representations. Furthermore another 18 point KS proof related to a 24-dimensional configuration shall be put up for discussion.

Brilliant mathematical concepts describe physical realities on all different levels, but classical mechanics, relativity, electrodynamics and quantum mechanics are epistemologically separated by different mathe- matical notations and space concepts: while ART resides in 4-dimensional curved Minkowski space-time, QM requires at least 6 dimensions for one particle in phase space.
— Let’s assume, the diverging concepts do not require another formula but rather an epistemic reset which enables reinterpretations of physical phenomena from an unifying point of view:
In this regard visualizations of symmetries of physical phenomena in a higher-dimensional geometrical framework shall be useful.
The here suggested visualization model aims to unite features of different concepts such as Riemannian manifolds and Hilbert spaces, as a discrete dynamic hyper-Euclidean vector space.
It is derived from the geometry of the 5-dimensional space based on the 3D representations of the Penrose kites and darts tiling, which exhibits the principles of the Poincaré homology sphere. This is the space which works like a machine as required by group theory and may serve as a toy model for the universe as suggested by H. Poincaré.
The poster presents some cosmological structures therein such as Lorentzian symmetries in the 4D Kepler model on the large sale as well as for the depiction of ‘time‘. On the other hand it shows on the quan- tum level how the same 4-simplices which are constituting the higher-dimensional space, are serving as unitary representation of the Lorentz group in spin foam models for quantum gravity.
— Maybe finally only the assumption of a higher dimensional space-time reality is need?

The visualization suggests a unified world view by means of a five-dimensional geometry that renders Kaluza-Klein’s theories—as confirmed by Louis de Broglie in 1927—visually accessible. Moreover, this unification between the GRT-cosmology and QM derived from the 3D representation of the Penrose Kites and darts tiling provides fundamental structures used in quantum information, as well as in Kepler’s planetary motions as comprised in the Poincaré homology sphere as a model for the universe.
