Determination of permethrin-resistance phenotypes.
In (a) Cameroon and (b) Ghana the LT50 (time point at which dotted line meets x-axis) for females (filled markers and solid curve) and males (open markers and dashed curve) was determined and used as the phenotypic threshold with individuals failing to survive this duration of insecticide exposure classified as susceptible (purple shading) and survivors classified as resistant (orange shading). Note that males were not included in subsequent genetic analysis.
