Expression analysis of 6 fibroblastic markers in normal fibroblasts co-cultured with esophageal cancer cell lines KYSE-30 (A), FLO-1 (B) and OE-33 (C).
COL4A1 expression in fibroblasts was significantly decreased after 2 days of incubation with KYSE-30 (P = 0.03) and OE-33 (P = 0.04) cells and after 3 days of incubation with FLO-1 cells (P = 0.01). TIMP3 expression was _s_ignificantly decreased after 2 and 3 days of incubation with KYSE-30 (P = 0.0002 and P>0.0001, respectively), after 2 and 3 days of incubation with FLO-1 cells (P = 0.0013 and P = 0.0006, respectively) and after 2 and 3 days of incubation with OE-33 cells (P = 0.0017 and P = 0.0004, respectively) when compared to the measurement 24 h after the start of the co-culture.
