Sequenced reads and the distribution of reads.
The Illumina Hiseq 2000 sequencing of the microRNAs obtained from the sera of patients in the control group, carrier group, and CHB group, produced 9,364,754,10,491,694, and 7,896,608 raw-reads, respectively, which, after extensive preprocessing and quality control, were reduced to 459,890,859,216, and 494,523 clean reads (Fig. 2A–C). All the distribution of reads of 16–30 nt length is presented in Fig. 2D.
