Chronic Treatment with the IDO1 Inhibitor 1-Methyl-D-Tryptophan Minimizes the Behavioural and Biochemical Abnormalities Induced by Unpredictable Chronic Mild Stress in Mice - Comparison with Fluoxetine (original) (raw)

Fig 4

Effect of UCMS and chronic treatment with fluoxetine or 1-methyltryptophan on peripheral (LUNG) levels of TNF-α, IL1-β, IFN-γ and IL6.

TNF-α, IFN-γ, IL1-β and IL6 were measured as described in the “materials and methods” section. Measurements were performed in lungs because of its high levels of IDO1 expression. Data are mean ± sem. N = 9-12/group. Multiple comparisons were performed. Consequently, significant p values were corrected according the method of Bonferroni. Ns indicate no difference compared to vehicle-treated non-stressed mice. ### p<0.001 in comparison to vehicle-treated UCMS mice.
